Cladonia didyma

DIAGNOSTIC FEATURES: Finely incised, esorediate primary squamules; podetia upright, cupless, apex more or less rounded, tipped with red apothecia; surface generally covered with granular or isidioid squamules, the ecorticate area turning brownish and translucent.
ECOLOGY: Grows on soil or decaying wood. Found in Adams County after the completion of The Macrolichens of Ohio by R. Showman and D. Flenniken.
